It ...Thank you so much for your very kind post JB. It means an awful lot to me, they are the initials of one of my guardian angels! A very dear soul who I adored in this world, and feel is watching over me in the next.

Your kindness literally inspired a new blog, in which I have allowed my thoughts to run as free as they want! I could kick myself, because I have been caged in on this my blog, for who know why? I know that my writing style is interesting and entertaining, I have been discovered by a BBC producer, a head of a publishing company and the editor of a local newspaper. In those days, I let the stream of consciousness go wherever it wanted. I wrote an entire Edwardian drama over the course of one weekend while walking my dog in a local country park. I had a hand held Dictaphone where I recorded my plotting ideas and all my 'killer lines'. Within two weeks I had a call from the head of the radio station! My play was broadcast on Christmas Day and nominated for a Sony Award. My dear old dad was so proud he was fit to burst! Dinner was put off and we opened the Champagne when it began (it was up against Titanic on the TV). Not a word was spoken as we listened, though my dad, love him, cried throughout, especially at the end when he was supposed to. Even I cried at that bit, especially when the heroine called out 'but I'm not a lady'. Then we all cried when I got the roast spuds out of the oven.

I feel unshackled, even though I was wearing said shackles through my own choice. I don't know what I was aiming for with this blog, other than an outlet for me to write always. The writing for me, has always taken precedence over the marketing and the money. I can write happily for 14 hours a day, but I am loathe to pick up a telephone, or pitch myself to people who don't adhere to the honesty and integrity guidelines that I set myself. Actually, I had to laugh at that bit of BS, I have always been available to the devil should he offer a good price. To be honest, who would you rather have a night on the town with, Beelzebub or the Good Lord? Ok, the good Lord has that whole turn water into wine thing, which is good to stupefy you while you listen to all those sermons, but Beelzebub is a cool guy with a stash in his pocket and he knows where all the good parties are. It's a tough call. Sure you will burn in hells fires for all eternity if you hang out with 'bub', but hell fire is normally a good name for a nightclub where all the bad people go, what's not love? The place above, let's call it Heaven (another good name for a nightclub) will be up at the crack of dawn to begin the praying and praising and listening to the Good Lord, whilst those in the club below are looking for a livener and a couple of lines. I would be wary of Heaven altogether. To me it would be like being trapped on a luxury cruise liner, no escape. I suppose the same could be said of flying, but on an aeroplane, freedom is within hours. Imagine being in Heaven surrounded my legions of do-gooders who sacrificed their entire time on earth to earn their place there? They all have guilty secrets, do you think you are the only one who ever put a blind man off the bus to Cannon Street at the wrong stop? (It was an accident) Despite his protests, he put a pretty good fight, I thought that was where he always got off, so made sure he did. I was feeling like a really good citizen. I was mortified when I realised the train station was two stops away and he would have to walk. I bet he recalls the story as the most evil woman he has ever met, I wouldn't blame him!

Again, many thanks JB, enjoy the rest of your weekend.Rosalinda Huttonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01497239700092619580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834822786084044829.post-18093313411556000832020-07-10T18:46:24.752+01:002020-07-10T18:46:24.752+01:00Good reply, Ros. I think you might be an incarnation of James Joyce. You are much more than an OK writer - you are no Fool.

JB
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834822786084044829.post-67292316458014434412020-07-10T13:51:17.386+01:002020-07-10T13:51:17.386+01:00It would be wonderful Ben to say that my postbox w...It would be wonderful Ben to say that my postbox was filled with liberated writers allowing their thoughts to run free, but sadly, it is mostly filled with stilted, whining, single paragraphs, such as your own. It astonishes me daily that so few people are not able to communicate in a written format. You, for example, could have taken this opportunity to fill your boots, unleashed your inner artiste, but instead you chose 3 lines to complain about me. Even with all that hatred, you cannot wander off into a stream of consciousness, because you are so afraid you might reveal who you really are. Perhaps you are just not capable of writing more than 3 lines? Or perhaps you are just not capable of writing something that is not hurtful or offensive, something that can be published?Rosalinda Huttonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01497239700092619580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834822786084044829.post-68071648743603056532020-07-10T10:12:55.071+01:002020-07-10T10:12:55.071+01:00Ros. is this (SUMMER 2020 - WHEN THE WORLD CHANGED...Ros. is this (SUMMER 2020 - WHEN THE WORLD CHANGED) blog ‘edited’ or ‘unedited’?

“Ahhhh, freedom to write is so liberating!” Do you accept that those who comment on your blog should be free to write their comments and feel that the freedom to write is liberating?
