I have no idea of ...Anonymous11 June 2019 at 12:30

I have no idea of your age, anon, so I'm not sure you'll understand when I make reference to one Alf Garnett. An iconic character of a famous British sit-com( till death do us part) in the 1960s. He was brilliantly drawn by Johnny Speight.

Speight was of good, solid north of England working class stock and politically minded as well as talented. He would attend rallies and picket lines often and observe the mood of the day.One day he was stood behind young man who was constantly trying to barrack speakers with what he considered were cutting but insightful insults.Speight thought he was comedy gold.He was right, and Alf was born. What many people and fans of the series don't know is that the young political activist with a loud voice and odd ideas was a young actor 'between jobs' called Anthony Booth. As a thank you, Speight gave him a role in the series as Alf's son-in-law the 'scouse git'.Booth later had a wife and children, one of whom was to become a successful QC called Cherie Booth; later Cherie Blair.Booth, in his dotage, was kindly given the job of Tony Blair's chauffeur. The twists and turns of life. But I digress....

The Tories are in pieces, It's true. But they seem to be in that condition every year.It doesn't damage them . Labour have been undermined too in the last couple of years.Take note of how long periods of time can pass by when we never hear about Tony Blair and what he's doing. Then, sudden;y he's on chat shows or debating shows out of nowhere. Then, just as suddenly, a destabilizing of the Labour party follows.Be it the party itself or the leader's credibility. He's been working against Corbyn on behalf of his Zionist sponsors and his old Tory comrades from day one.Hence Corbyn is lambasted in the media if he says he hates nuclear destruction ( makes him weak). Now he's anti-semite because he sees the plight of Palestine as inhumane.

Given the last two years of Brexit debates and hold ups, where's your evidence that the Tory party will take us out of Europe ? It seems clear that an unseen hand has decided to stall and possibly cancel the whole idea. It's more likely that we'll remain if we get a new PM wearing blue.Your expression '' flood this country with immigrants'' is an echo of the infamous rivers of blood speech Enoch Powell gave us in the 60s( a hero of Alf Garnett by the way). The influx of immigrants has been colossal in the last 10 years. We haven't had a Labour Government for 10 years either. Have you got a calculator , 'comrade' ?

'' we should be allowed to have a say in who we want to come here and it's not Albanian drug lords. ''

Quite a statement.Albania ?What happened to Colombia .What is it we don't know...

''Donald Trump is a democratically elected leader of our greatest ally, the United States''

Both consider Israel as their 'greatest allies' like it or not. Both jump according to their orders. That will include any decisions regarding Brexit too.

'' There is never a protest against the unelected despots such as the Chinese leader or the Middle East dictators. Why is that I wonder?''

Because it doesn't matter what the people think. So, you tell me, if you live under a dictatorship or in a democracy what's the difference when it comes to demanding transparency or change from leaders who have lied and been found out or are failing to deliver on promises they made to get their job from your vote.

Z
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834822786084044829.post-84965033819301572902019-06-11T14:05:10.621+01:002019-06-11T14:05:10.621+01:00Thanks for pointing that out Dave, it's terrif...Thanks for pointing that out Dave, it's terrifying isn't it?

I think there has to be a General Election. The Brexit deal as devised by Theresa May should be set out in a simplified bullet point format, so the public can see what the House of Commons are voting for or rejecting. You are more concerned by immigrants than the toxic policies of extreme right wingers, very odd for a former Labour voter.

Comrade Corbyn? Seriously? There is nothing despotic about Jeremy Corbyn whatsoever. He wants a better future for everyone, including immigrants, which is where I think you have your problem. If he was for the many (excluding immigrants) you would be fine with him.

Why don't they stay in their own countries? you ask. Many reasons I should think, but predominantly because they want a better life for themselves and their families. They see the UK as a land of opportunity.

And that's a good thing. While the indigenous population are static with apathy, the newcomers see business opportunities everywhere. They come here to work, and they work harder than anyone else because they have hope and because they have the determination to improve their lives.

My parents were immigrants, my father from Dundee my mother from Ireland. My father didn't want to spend his life in a factory, my mother wanted to escape life on a farm. Both came to London to find work. My mother's brothers also came to England to work, they were among the thousands of Irish men who came over to the UK to lay roads, sending their wages home to support their families.

I have a lot of admiration for the courage of immigrants, mostly because of my own dear mother who was only 15 when she came to England. It takes a lot of guts to uproot and start anew.

You are deluding yourself if you think the NHS can continue as it is once new 'immigration' laws kick in. All non English NHS staff (about 50%+ of the workforce)will be under threat. It makes me wonder 12:30, if you or any of your family are treated by these foreign medics, do you ask them why they are here?

As for this is a 'tiny country' argument, it always been. What you fail to understand 12:30, is that the world is not static. The UK is not that popular that everyone will come here and the island of England will sink.

Your dream of living in the same street with the same white families for ever more is childlike and creepy. The only way that dream of yours can come true is if you marry your cousin and move in with the Amish.

Your mention of Albanian drug lords defines you as a Trump supporter. Democratically elected you say? Err, one word, Russia. In the midst of all our own mayhem, it should be remember that Lord Haw Haw (Farage)was also cuddling up to Putin and Wikileaks. How true a result was the Brexit referendum?

You ask why the public protest Trump and not Xi Jinping? It is because the USA is an ally, because the USA are so like us. Our message was not just to Trump but to the American people, as in 'seriously guys, wtf are you doing'. We care about the USA and its' citizens, the people of the US can do something about Trump, the people of China can nothing about Xi Jinping, and the people of China would hear our protests.

Rosalinda Huttonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01497239700092619580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834822786084044829.post-10205838293428007362019-06-11T12:30:51.315+01:002019-06-11T12:30:51.315+01:00All politicians lie, all politicians are out for w...All politicians lie, all politicians are out for what they can get for themselves.
