MCCANNS NEW PRIVATE SEARCH

This Mirror headline makes two important announcements.  1)The McCanns do not accept the findings of Operation Grange  and 2)The Fund is not going to be wound up and the remainder given to charity

Going back to the ambiguous words of DCI Redwood at the beginning, Madeleine is alive, or sadly she is dead.  As there have been no appeals from Operation Grange for the public to search for a live Madeleine, since OG opened in a blaze of publicity, it appears they have settled on the latter.  Madeleine may not have left the apartment alive said DCI Redwood, a comment that directly implicates the parents, and one they did not dispute or challenge.  And this was accompanied by the very public digging up of the areas surrounding Apartment 5A.  Martin Brunt gamely tried to protect the parents innocence, by suggesting the abductor killed Madeleine in the apartment and then buried her in the immediate vicinity whilst the search was going on. Seriously, Martin, do you not care a shred about your own reputation?

If the McCanns were genuinely satisfied with the work of Operation Grange, they would not be launching a new search of their own - starting a new search of their own shows the same disdain for the work of the British police as it showed to the work of the Portuguese police before them.  It is not good enough for the McCanns because it has not given them the result they wanted.  The world looking for a live Madeleine and donating to their private Fund.

That they are launching a new investigation of their own screams that things are not going well for the McCanns in the official police investigations, Operation Grange have wound down, but there are no signs that the  Portuguese investigation will again be shelved.  The Portuguese investigation is of course crucial, only they have the power to arrest and prosecute this case, yet they rarely, if eve,r get a mention in the McCann press releases and they didn't get a mention in this one.

More importantly, they have nothing of substance from Operation Grange to support their search for a live child and they have nothing from them that confirms their innocence or that points to an abduction having taken place.  The trolls on twitter are still spamming the McCann hashtag with 4 year old statements made by DCI Redwood when OG was launched, there has been nothing to support the McCanns' abduction claim every since.  If there had been, they would be using it now in their latest publicity campaign.

I didn't want to write anything mean before Christmas, but unfortunately the McCanns stated intention to continue this scam, leaves me with little choice.  The remaining cash in the Madeleine Fund is not going to a good cause, it will continue to be used to con gullible people and to sue those who challenge the wickedness of their actions.  Gerry and Kate are not going to accept the findings of the police in either country, and they are not going to retire to concentrate on their remaining children and their medical careers.  As Kate said, this is her job now.   Covering up the death of a child and conning the public is not an honourable profession, and bringing misery and fear to the former detective who searched for their child, is pure evil.  If they continue, so will I.

  1. Sometimes I wonder Was Madeleine REALLY abducted? If not, then all this is true- the scam and charade not only fooling the world but also their own children. Yes this is pure evil if that is true. And sadly, so much points to it being true...:-((
Makes me think of something I read in the Bible, words like what will you gain if you win the whole world (wealth, money) but lose your soul? Comforting words I'd say. They can't take any of that with them in the life after this. Was it really worth it?

  2. Ros says: "As there have been no appeals from Operation Grange for the public to search for a live Madeleine, since OG opened in a blaze of publicity"

    Did you miss Crimewatch Ros?

"BBC1’s Crimewatch had its highest ratings last Monday as British detectives issued a fresh public request for information in the search for the little girl who went missing from Portugal’s Praia Da Luz in 2007, aged just three."

    1. I did miss it 13:07 and I haven't seen any mention of it anywhere. Why didn't the McCanns use this latest police appeal for a live child in their press release? It would have been a huge boost for their Fund? Could it be that nobody believes it anymore?

  3. Over the last few days, there have been a few trickles of information via Mail, Express & Mirror. None directly quote the McCanns or their spokesperson. This is not their usual MO.

Most MSM articles follow the same pattern of mentioning the remaining balance of £750k in the fund, is that true? 2014\2015 audit published? What about the restricted balance?

But that aside, all there is old quotes, bits of dated information about the scaling back of OP Grange. Thought they were budgeted for another £2m & team of four.

So, why does anyone believe this current £750k 'private investigation' hype has anything to do with the McCanns.

Sounds, IMHO - MSM goading the McCanns.

They can't even come up with a reasonable RECENT picture of the McCanns, yet alone statement from any of the horses mouths!

And prey tell, where might the family McCann be spending their Christmas festivities, whilst the rest of the UK are hyped, yet again in to concern for their missing daughter?

NO WHERE TO BE HEARD OR SEEN.

    RIP Madeleine. Dead or alive.

  5. I think it is a team McCann press release 15:28, the wording in all the tabloids is similar - lazy journalism, basically, the copy is already written for them. And I think, unless the leak came directly from the police themselves, the McCanns would be spitting Writs and demands for recompense and an apology.

£750,000 is a curious sum. It is under £1m, so little enough to appeal to philanthropic billionaires. but enough that the public won't ask them where has it has all gone, and why aren't they selling their house if they believe their daughter is still out there? More significantly, why are they not handing the remainder over to a worthy childrens' charity.

The answer of course lies in the carefully chosen words of the Fund's founding fathers (and mothers). The bright legal spark who drew up the aims and objectives of the Fund made it absolutely clear that nothing would be donated to anyone until Madeleine was found AND her abductor brought to justice. It is virtually lawyer proof.

So the parents who have appeared so regularly on our screens, tormented with pain that that their daughter is no longer with them, and appealing for ALL OUR help, have accepted the non ending of OG without so much as a whimper. Clarence Mitchell tells us the parents are incredibly grateful to the Met police and everyone who makes Operation Grange possible (tis the season for Oscar speeches, lol). Grateful for what? NOT finding their child, not clearing them in the eyes of the public?

I think however that the statement is sincere. The met police have carried out a 4+ year investigation without revealing exactly what it is they have been investigating. They have kept the media storm at bay, and I am sure for that the families are extremely grateful.

However, of all the occasions the McCanns have been furious and incandescent with rage, the shelving of the search for their daughter does not appear to be one of them, not on the last occasion, and apparently not on this one. Why not?

Getting an investigation opened by a UK police force was a major achievement, just below convincing the world Madeleine was abducted. Having the investigation closed is a major set back, just below the world discovering Madeleine was not abducted.

But back to that remaining cash in the Fund, with £750k comfortably at their disposal, should the police both here and in the UK give up on their daughter, the parents can actively continue their 'search' by appearing on National TV or in the newspapers, but they no longer have a campaign to re-open the case. It has been re-opened. They no longer have a horse to whip. The Government gave them what they wanted, so too did the British police. The rights of Madeleine as a UK citizen, have been fulfilled.

When Kate's book 'Madeleine' was launched, the McCanns had a 'cause', they were grieving parents up against the 'system'. The public have been more than generous in the cash they donated - and who knows how much it was, it could have been in excess of £4m. Just when is enough enough? As I type this I have my TV on in the background and it has images of kids sleeping rough on our streets.

I think the McCanns are reticent in appealing for funds again, but we have had an annual Christmas message (and appeal for funds) since Madeleine disappeared, so its kind of tradition.

The first shelving was the investigation into the Mccanns by Amaral - why would they be furious with the end of that sham?

There are currently 2 Police forces investigating the disappearance - maybe you could produce a quote from someone in authority that those investigations have ended?

You are making things up from an old story that has just been recycled as usual by the tabloids.

    3. I see Mr & Mrs McCann, TM and\or CM conspicuous by their absence. The last stir of the pot was the missing people appeal with a selection of relatives standing in front of their homes making various appeals. Since then, I don't recall anything directly that could contributable to the McCanns in the current series of MSM articles.

As for the sum of £750, January Tax deadline is due for the year 2014\15, NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the here & now 2015\16, which might reveal just how much of a fighting fund, actually remains. And whether the £750 exists or what it correlates to in terms of how the fund is spent, or reserved for purpose, whatever that purpose is.

  6. Goncalo Amaral was not in charge of the Portuguese investigation after September 2007, the McCanns had asked the British authorities to get rid of him. The investigation was under the control of Paulo Rebelo for almost another year. What problems did the McCanns have with him?

As for your second paragraph, it was recently announced that Operation Grange have wound down from 20 detectives to just 4. The investigation is clearly nearing an end.

  7. Quote from Tony below, although posted in his sock....

It matters not what the subject matter of discussion might be, there you will always find the same antagonists misrepresenting everything written, deliberately twisting words and selectively quoting, knowing full well that taken out of context, a single sentence or paragraph loses it intended meaning.

.... How ironic. Something Tony specialises in. Ridiculous.

As for the Mc's with the latest guff. Well i think they are begging for more cash in a roundabout way as they know the net is closing. Those top notch lawyers through one of the biggest trials ever, wont come cheap. Desperation and at the same time sticking two fingers up at Grange and Portugal.

  8. Quote from Tony talking to himself (yet again) on the Blacksmith thread.....

Blacksmith believes that Madeleine was abducted. Blacksmith does not believe a word of what Martin Grime said. Blacksmith says that the Tapas group as a whole were so ashamed of their poor child care arrangements that they hastily made up false details of their 'checking' regime. Blacksmith says that the abductor is still at large and that Madeleine could yet be found alive. Finally, the theory of Blacksmith is virtually identical to those of the McCanns and of Operation Grange. That is why his attacks on CMOMM have become so vicious of late, now accusing us all here of a deep need to hate people and being guilty of a type of 'Jewish blood libel'. Make no mistake. This is deliberate hatred by Blacksmith towards this forum.

........ look forward to hearing Blacksmiths response to that. I wasnt aware that he believed in an 'abduction' for starters. Happy to be proven wrong though.

When's Smithman 10 out by the way.

    Regards, Andrew

  9. Hi Andrew. Just because Blacksmith is not stupid enough to have ended up in Court and paying the McCanns £100+ a month, doesn't mean he is an abduction supporter.

Tony is once again showing his ignorance Andrew. He can't figure out what Blacksmith believes, so he is filling in the gaps. It is his modus operandi with, well, everything.

It seems as we enter the Season of Goodwill and love is all around, Mr. Bennett is frantically scratching around for someone to hate. He believes if he discredits the popular writers, the McCann audience will return to him. He doesn't have the intelligence, wit or talent to win over those who read Blacksmith, so he is making up lies about him.

It is cringingly pathetic and kind of embarrassing. Bennett is unable to produce a single article or thread that is of interest to anyone other than his socks and a handful of malcontents. With his latest hate fest, he hasn't exposed Blacksmith, so much as exposed himself.

Tony is behaving like an anti social 5 year old jumping up and down screaming 'look at me'. I doubt the ever cool Mr. Blacksmith will be too bothered.

  11. Ros, I've read your blog articles and I did see that long ago you did link to Blacksmiths Bureau. I have to say that I have always had my doubts about where he stands. I've also read Bennett's article and decided to go back and read Blacksmith's Cracked Mirror piece which he wrote back in 2009. Again I have to say that Bennett seems to be right because that article, the Blacksmith one I mean, keeps on saying that he does believe that Madeleine was abducted. Also, Blacksmith does spend a lot of time knocking just about everyone in sight, not just Bennett, but also Havern, Pat Brown, just about all the 'anti' sites and sometimes even poor old Goncalo Amaral himself. Why exactly do you link to him? TIA

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm a long standing reader of Blacksmith and a fan and I'm proud to provide a link to his blog. Imo, he is one of the more insightful and rational thinkers in this case.

The problem with commenting on a case that's constantly evolving is that you cannot have opinions set in stone. Each day, week, month, year, brings something new.

The reason the cesspit have lost all their readers is because they are stuck in a 2007 timewarp, discussing the same subjects over and over. Like Bennett they have not adapted with the times.

Bennett saying Blacksmith is a McCann supporter doesn't make it so, and tbh, the more outrageous the lies, the more ridiculous he becomes. If he weren't so malicious, it would be sad.

    1. I'm not sure Mr. Bennett likes anyone John, not even himself, he would probably have Sigmund Freud hurling himself off a roof. Mr. Bennett is just not getting the recognition he feels he deserves and it is driving him demented. He cannot understand why hordes are not rushing to following him down his narrow little path of the righteous.

He wants books banned, films banned, people banned, lol, he wants to clean up Sin City wielding a bible and a pitchfork. He wants an end to frivolity, drunkenness, rock and roll is a given, ditto porn, and free for all sex of any description. The tories want a bedroom tax, Mr. Bennett wants bedroom police. I fear he was born in the wrong century, he would have fitted right in with the Spanish Inquisition.

Ah well, tis the season of goodwill, so I am going to try not to be too much of a bitch, lol. Anyway, glad tidings right back at ya John, and I am sure it will be interesting to see what the New Year brings.

  14. @11:57.

Just re-read the cracked mirror off the McCann files site. Ok - I skim read it but can't see any reference to him alluding that it was a 'genuine abduction'. None whatsover. Can you prove mw wrong and provide a link. For obvious reasons, i can't take anything seriously or believe what Tony says. He's in the same bracket as Clarence for spinning and spouting porkies.

Somehow I think not. Attractive, confident people have no need to hide away in cesspits.

CMoMM have joined the same playground taunt as their sister site, JATYK2, ie. that I wear a wig. I don't, lol. I have thick, lush, paddy hair, that grows at an alarming rate and is frustratingly high maintenance. I shouldn't moan, because when I can be arsed, it looks fabulous. On other occasions I wear a hat :)

  16. Andrew, this is all I can find - where he says that he believes in the possibility of an abduction.

"Leaving aside the extreme reserve with which the parents are treated in this document, when an investigating team states that it has no plans to pursue new lines of enquiry, adds that there are "very important" aspects of the investigation still unresolved, names the witnesses who could help resolve them and states that a number of them - walking around freely in the UK - have "refused" to come back to do so, then it is hardly surprising that many people agree with the Portuguese police that there are urgent questions surrounding the holiday group still requiring an answer. And that is whether one believes in the possibility of an abduction - as I do - or not".
