STOP THE LUNACY

In response to a post on previous blog:

I am afraid you are deluding yourself if you think the McCanns haven't harmed their remaining children 10:54.  With all the lying that goes on, can you imagine how dysfunctional their home must be?  Apart from terrifying the poor little mites with a story about a monster stealing Madeleine from her bed, the parents have dedicated the last 8+ years to 'getting her back'.  They are growing up in the shadow of their 'lost' big sister.  From their perspective, it may be that they see their parents and family as caring more about Madeleine than them.  When they are adults looking back, that is undoubtedly what they will see.

The parents proudly boast that Madeleine is 'everywhere' within their home, her bedroom has become a shrine filled with a growing stack of presents that can never be opened, they talk about Madeleine every day, they celebrate her birthday with cake.  Whilst our jaws drop at the macabre and tragic 'time stood still world' of Charles Dickens' Miss Haversham, in the twilight world of McCann, it is to be applauded.

I feel desperately sorry for those kids. Their names have been used shamelessly by their parents to tug on the heart (and purse) strings of their gullible donors.  They always mention them by name in their TV interviews.  Offered the chance of having their civil proceedings in Lisbon held in camera, the McCanns chose maximum publicity. The kids were then subjected to lurid UK tabloid headlines shrieking that crazy 'hater' people were trying to kidnap them and that their parents were in constant danger of being attacked.  Things no 9 year old should have to read on newspaper billboards on their way to school.  That the parents themselves are the authors of these headlines is just plain wicked.

Whilst megalomaniac Gerry might believe he can have every negative comment about himself and his wife erased from the internet to protect his kids, the reality is quite different.  He is not special (well he is, but not in the way he thinks), we all want to protect our children, and what a great world this would be if we could all do exactly what we liked without anyone saying anything horrid about us.  However, even Henry VIII with a chopping block and a team of executioners couldn't force people to say nice things about him.  And, speaking for myself, even if you put me on rack and make me 2ft taller, I will still not believe Gerry and Kate are telling the truth.

I'm afraid I cannot imagine a more dysfunctional environment for kids to grow up in than that Rothley household.  It actually makes me feel sick to the stomach, and I am someone who spent 5 years of my childhood being emotionally and physically abused in a convent - I have a good idea what it feels like to live in constant fear as a child.  When you are sent to your room, and you don't know what is going on, you fear the worst.

What astounds me and chips away at my faith in human nature still further, is the abandonment of those kids by all the other adults around them, the grandparents, aunts and uncles especially.  Not one of them has the guts or decency, to tell Gerry and Kate to 'stop the lunacy'.   And what of the professionals?  no decent psychiatrist or professional with morals and common sense would tell the parents of a missing child to create a shrine and spend the rest of their lives looking for her.  As for raising their surviving kids to take over from them, when they are gone, WTF?  How about asking the kids what they want to be? what they want to do?

When someone suffers a bereavement at some point, someone, usually a close family member or friend, will have that 'time to move on' talk with them.  Most of us are lucky enough to have that 'someone', or we ourselves reach that stage in our time and in our ways.  In the old days, we also had Marjory Proops.  We have to move on, or we would be incapacitated forever more.

The parents of Madeleine emphasise that she was special.  Unfortunately, she has become 'special' forever more.  Every parent knows (or should know) that you must treat all of your children equally, they are all special.  For the McCann kids, Madeleine is special in a way they can never compete with. She is the driving force of her parents' lives.  Nothing they ever do will top Madeleine's iconic status.  They can't even sort things out the way other small siblings do, with the odd sly pinch or full scale punch up.

'We are never giving up' should send a chill down the spines of everyone who has responsibility towards those children.  Someone needs to tell Gerry and Kate that what they are doing is very wrong.  It is not healthy for themselves and it is off the scale freaky for their kids.

All those supporting Gerry and Kate to carry on with this misguided quest should hang their heads in shame.  People are being hurt.  What they have done and what they are doing is evil, and because it is based on evil, it is harmful to everyone and everything it touches.  How can it not be?

  1. I read 2 paragraphs and can read no more Linda.

If you are a woman who can even think the Mccanns would not be wanting their daughter found then you are not my type of person at all.

The twins will undoubtedly take up the gauntlet of the search for their sister, this would be natural I believe?

Leave the McCanns to handle their home life as they see fit without intrusion from busy body nosy parkers such as yourself.

    1. They know she cannot be found 12:19, therein lies the evil!

So the twins will take up the gauntlet? Omg, so they are being indoctrinated to continue the lie? Do you have any idea how bad that sounds? And I doubt it would go down very well in a Court either. It demonstrates no regret and no remorse.

    2. @12.19 I think not hiding the e-fits from the public of a credible sighting in Smithman and employing reputable agencies to actually answer the hotline would've helped in "finding their daughter" These are the two main actions in the McCanns behaviour that is the most suspicious of all on whether they are looking? If anyone could show justification for these, I'd be very interested because both are inexcusable actions for a fund where you're using public donated money.

    4. 12:19, I'd like to think those twins would grow up without having the burden of their parents legacy foisted upon them. Wasn't it the McCann's or their relatives who said they're ''finishers'' implying they see things through to the end! Let's hope they do and save the twins more sorrow in their adult years.

    5. Teresa May has the hidden statements too that include the people statements around Gerry's search time/Smith sighting. Hopefully the people who saw him will talk one day on what they know? Shows there's a government cover up anyway.

    6. The McCanns appear to have spent in excess of £4m looking for their daughter 15:11, and I expect a lot of people are very curious as to what it has been spent on. That's a lot of posters and prayers cards.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall when Scotland Yard went through the files of the private detectives. The McCanns claimed they were paying them hundreds of thousands of pounds with Kate allegedly giving each member of the Metodo 3 team a cuddlecat to keep them inspired. I wonder what became of the 195 leads? Actually, thinking back, when the private detectives were active, the papers had new leads every week. Or at least whenever a bad news story needed to be buried.

What of the leads Scotland Yard are still following, the remaining ones that only need an operational team of 4? The ones who will continue to assist the Portuguese police? If the suspect is Portuguese or indeed any other nationality than British, why do the PJ need the assistance of Scotland Yard? How can SY help them, they don't speak the language.

    4. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger 22:39, and it left an injustice bee in my bonnet that is still buzzing away 40+ years later!

I have put my past behind me now 22:39, no point in carrying all that negativity around. My concern and my heightened sense of injustice is for children who are suffering NOW. It sickens me that all these wannabe Witchfinder Generals are only interested in the more popular sexual abuse of children. Whereas, in reality the physical and mental abuse of children is far more prevalent and far more damaging! Look at how many tots die at the hands of their parents, step parents etc?

Sadly, much of what I experienced in the convent was not too dissimilar to what was going on in 'normal' catholic homes at the time. Whilst we kids in the left hand aisle of the Church were miserable, our hearts went out to the Von Trapp families on the right, with their neatly pressed uniforms, regimental fathers and Stepford mums. Sadly, too many brain washed catholics took the whole 'suffer little children' ditty much too seriously.

Unfortunately, any home dominated by a control freak will not be a happy one, because they must 'break' the will of everyone around them. Everyone must enjoy their form of happiness, be it going to church 3 times a day, having chips with every meal or watching Jim Davidson on the telly.

For some creeps, having a family gives them an authority over others they might not otherwise have. For them, being patriarch means Colonel in charge. They put a fence around their territory and say 'my house, my rules'. The more extreme ones install CCTV and patrol the perimeters with a shotgun. I jest, I better shut now before I go off further into a feminist rant, lol.

If you accept that Madeleine was not abducted, you will see that what I have said above is not unkind. If you read between the lines you will see that I am trying to be that 'someone', that reality check for the parents and those close to them. I am trying to prick their consciences (if they have any) and I am urging them to do the right thing.

The McCanns it would seem are surrounded by a bunch of ostriches with their arses in their air. It is easier to watch people destroy themselves for 8+ years than it is to tell them they are wrong. Continuing with this 'we will never give up' dialogue offers no end in sight to anyone. No closure.

The parents have to tell the kids the truth, it has to come from them and it has to come with a bleddy good explanation and lots of love and reassurance. Kids understand a lot more than we give them credit for.

As for my being a disgusting nasty person, debateable. Some people take the truth remarkably well, tis only blinkered people like yourself who throw a hissy fit.

    3. My parents were kind, decent people, who hit hard times when they (and we) were young. They made mistakes but I don't blame them one bit, they had no idea of the horrors that went on behind those convent walls. They spent the rest of their lives making up for it. I have long since forgiven them, actually, there was nothing to forgive, I've made a lot of mistakes in my life too.

I actually thank all the Gods there may be that I had such characterful parents who were both witty, intelligent, kind, compassionate and who above all else loved nothing more than a bleddy good laugh. When I close my eyes I can hear their roars of laughter and their giggles. Those are the wonderful memories I have.

As for your insults, I am actually a reflection of the way in which my parents brought me up. You will note that I am still lucid, coherent and being polite.

Incidentally, your use of the word 'baggage' is interesting. Do you consider children to be baggage? My parents didn't and neither do I. Hmm.

However, there's no need to be nasty about Rosalinda's parents, no matter what you think of Rosalinda, you know nothing about their lives, their intentions were to give her security and a stab at a good education.

They didn't know, they just didn't KNOW, and it wasn't their fault. Let's try to be kind to one another for a change, and for the individual who thinks it's a given the children should carry on the search, OVER MY DEAD BODY THEY WILL.

    7. 08:29 Bless you for understanding. Sadly, I had a very chequered relationship with my mother because when I was younger I believed all those malevolent people who told me she was mad and bad. Should add, my father was never among them.

In my 40's, 5 words changed my life. 'She is as she is'. Once I accepted that, a veil was lifted from eyes. I could see what a wonderful, hilarious and fabulously outrageous character she was. Yes she was mad and bad, but she was loved by everyone who knew her and even had a local gay following!

She was 16 when she had my brother, and she was 17 when she had me. She was 15 when she came over to London on her own from a small village in Ireland. Is that cowardly? In the 1960's the UK was overflowing with 'Cathy Come Homes', we cannot begin to imagine how difficult it was for young parents, especially those whose families were hundreds of miles away.

I hate this 'Jeremy Kyle' mentality of naming, shaming and condemning, it makes me cringe. Its as though if you can PROVE someone done you wrong, it will make everything right. It completely absolves the victim of accepting responsibility for their own life choices. They will continue to be affronted by every wrong done to them, and they will carefully document the more dramatic outrages in the hope that JK will invite them back.

Yes indeed, 'let's try to be kind to one another'. Whenever I hear people being critical of their parents, and heartbreakingly where I see people with lifelong family rifts, I try to urge them to consider the circumstances that existed at that time. I can think of very few things that are worth a lifelong grudge.

And you are right 08:29, for my parents, my dad especially, education was everything. He was the wisest and the kindest person I ever knew. I was blessed.

    8. Just let them omit their hate Ros. A friend of mine who's a journalist phoned me last night because there's been lots of nudges from the McCanns camp that Kate will be addressing the trolls in a next book. Which'll make a change from the constant backfilling of the discrepancies of truth from their initial statements pointed out by us doubters in the first one published I suppose, so hopefully a better read and might even take account of Madeleine's feelings this time round and not so much of herself. Anyway my journalist friend, who's came to the forums for the first time, was astounded to find the abuse was orchestrated by the McCanns camp and not by us at all! So encourage them I say, and let the world see for themselves what the truth is. Well they can't fight with the facts because there's more holes in this case than Swiss cheese, so abuse is all they have.

      Delete
  5. Couldn't agree more, Ros - the guilty couple are clearly abusing their surviving children, which is why Social Services have to become involved with such cases; only on this occasion they haven't, as everyone knows.

To the 2 anons replying above, if you don't like reading something (altho actually replying without even knowing what it says makes only one person look the complete fool), then you know where to go, right? Bye

I've got some major thoughts going around in my head about the latest from SY, because they are OUR public servants, and should they believe that they will not be accountable for their 'Operation' (I stress *IF* they believe this), then I fully believe we could be finding ways to awake them from their slumber - for instance, what of the MPS officers who desire to see justice for the great man, Gonçalo Amaral? Then there is the legitimate demand we can make (as I heard Sarah, I think it was, on LBC recently mentioning) for there to be a legal reconstruction. All such criminal investigations should be having one of these, and I'd say if enough noise in the UK is made about it, then it can happen.

The general public of the UK have every reason to make sure that justice prevails in this case, as much as any other travesty; and whilst 'democracy' is at least making some sort of appearance in this filthy country, then we have some chance of making something stick.

    1. Hi JNH, abuse may be too strong a word. Lots of people have some very strange ideas on parenting, they see their children as extensions of themselves, rather than unique individuals. If this were classified as abuse, a lot of parents would be facing charges.

Within religious households there is still a strong sense of conformity and discipline, a clear demarcation between parent and child. Parents punish their children in the way they were punished and only allow them to see, hear and watch material that has been approved by them. They believe they are protecting their children with locks, keys and censorship, when in fact they are making the forbidden more enticing. Honesty is always the best answer.

We may not like what the McCanns are doing, but it isn't illegal, nor should it be. The only way to improve childrens' lives is through education. I would like to see parenting classes on the National Curriculum - even middle class professionals are clueless.

I don't think this case can now be filed away without a conclusion JNH. Operation Grange opened with a hullaballoo and I expect it will finish with one. For those who think it will be a cover up, it has done nothing whatsoever to take the pressure off the McCanns. The digging in Portugal gave a clear indication of the way the case was going. Far more people now think the parents were involved than 4 years ago.

  6. 15:11 You can kind of see their dilemma in hiring private detectives. The detectives would have to agree to follow only leads relating to stranger abduction. And as the ones paying the wages, the McCanns were the ones calling the tune. The only message they wanted from the investigators, was that Madeleine was alive and findable. Any other theories had to be binned.

Sadly, their private detectives failed them. First we had the 'Maddie will be home by Christmas' from Metodo 3, then we had the ludicrous Posh Spice lookalike waiting at Barcelona docks with a luxury yacht to take her new daughter off to a life of privilege in Australia from Dave Edgar. The same Dave Edgar who said that Madeleine could have been taken by a Man or a Woman, and was likely being held captive in the barbarous wastelands of the Algarve.

Why have the McCanns never searched for Madeleine's body? With the millions they had in the Madeleine Fund, they could have hired heat detecting helicopters, legitimate geology machines and even Indiana Jones himself to scour those wastelands. Unfortunately, Gerry and Kate have never physically unturned any stones themselves, in fact they jogged past the people who were turning over stones looking for their daughter, as they strived to achieve their own personal 'bests'. Clearly fighting off the urge to go take a look under a few stones themselves in case it messed it up their timings.

As for the private detectives? Perhaps the McCanns secretly hoped the detectives would actually stumble across a real paedophile gang, and rescue some real children, it happens in the movies. But I am trying to be kind. How much effort do you put into employing detectives who will be doing basically whatever they want, as long they don't bother you. Whilst the McCanns employed the cream of the legal and media spin worlds, they appear to have gone to the Poundshop or some dodgy guy down the pub in their choice of detective agencies. Some find that odd.

However as Madeleine had not been abducted by a stranger, she was never going to be found. So how much money were the McCanns prepared to pay to get the results they wanted. And what they wanted were sightings, leads and headlines that would boost the 'search' Fund. Gerry's mantra was 'there's no evidence.......', in other words, Madeleine is alive and findable. If they have to acknowledge that Maddie is dead, the Fund would end. No wonder they are shifting money around in their accounts.

  8. Cristobell is astounds me that people have criticised what you have just written. Isn't what you have said just the saddest part of this whole sorry case. 2 wee ones who will have to live their lives with the legacy these 2 evil people have left them. I remember reading " born yesterday" back in 2007 when the author eluded to the same thing that you have said and predicted that the twins would b e forced in years to come to leave the country because they couldn't live with the legacy that had been left to them. I know people who lost siblings through tragic accidents and each have told me that a part of their parents died with them. Often they were too young to remember the l o st sibling so didn't feel a great loss but the parents had forced their loss onto them. This appears to be a natural consequence of losing a child so I echo your thoughts what these 2 have done suggesting that there a findable Madeline is beyond evil. I pray that the powers th a t be when they make their move have a care plan in place for these children because like you I haven't seen one of t he mccann/ Healy clan who have stepped up to the mark to look after these kids

    1. No parent should lose a child, we cannot think of a greater tragedy. That is why people are loathe to tell grieving parents it is time to move on. Especially if a child has been lost in traumatic circumstances. We understand how they feel and we sympathise but imo, it is cruel to encourage people to dwell on their past tragedies and encourage false hope for something that will never happen. A missing child turning up 20/30 years on is so rare it is the stuff of made for television movies with less than happy outcomes.

The people around the parents should tell them they should be living for the present and preparing their kids for whatever future they want for themselves. My son when 9, wanted to be a marine biologist or alternately, he wanted a job where he could play with puppies all day (still does, lol). At that age the world is a huge exciting place with so much to see and do and become. No parent should narrow it down to one set goal.

The idea of raising your sons and daughters to take over the family business sounds a bit Dickensian in the 21st century, unless of course you are a Windsor and there's not much option and lots of perks. Enlightened parents however, will encourage their children's individual talents, whatever they might be, and allow them to make their own choices. They should not be mapping out their kids futures for them in the shadow of the missing sister. It is just plain wrong.

Those close to them will have to accept that the messenger will be shot (maybe they could draw straws), but one of them will have to tell the parents that 'searching' for their 'missing' daughter for the rest of their lives is not a sane option. In fact, therein lies misery and conflict for ever more.

I agree wholeheartedly with the points you make, the loss of a child traumatises every family member. Though we are built to cope with tragedy, sometimes we need a helping hand.

  9. Excellent text ,Rosalinda, about the social dilemma of the McCanns' twins. I have felt exactly the same, but I have not been able to express it in a proper way. It is true that the McCanns' twins suffer due to their parents lack of true love and honesty. In a few years, however, these children will read the PJ files and find that there is no monster or any naughty man to be found in them. They may then have to turn against all of their family members and their parents' friends as a strategy of emotional survival.

    1. You are right 20:59, unless at least one of supporting family tells them the truth they will never be able to trust anyone again. I kind of hope that Kate has another account of the truth, the real one, to give to the kids because they will need to know why. And telling them the world is full of haters, is not the answer.

      Delete
    2. When the questions become more demanding and repetitive it's time to break the truth to them gently. Hopefully Kate can find the courage to do so before the problem becomes irreversible.

And as crazy as it may seem, I still believe they are trying to do the best they can for the twins, but they are caught up in a big precarious web and don't know how to get out of it without bringing the sword of Damocles on many a helper's head.

      What to do?

      Delete
    3. So very well put 08:58, wholly agree.

I agree too with your second paragraph. I have no doubt the parents are doing their best to protect the twins, it may even be their driving force and their hope of redemption.

The parents have to accept that they cannot control the publicity nor can they erase the internet of all negative comments and they will drive themselves insane if they think they can. Kids understand much more than we give them credit for. And they fully understand feelings because they have them themselves. The only way you can protect children from what they see and read on the internet is to prepare them for it as you would prepare them to face the world around them. Ancient man didn't lock his kids in the cave because there were dinosaurs out there, nor did he start a campaign to have dinosaurs banned. He taught his kids how to survive!

As for the parents, they are not kids. At some stage the cotton wool wrapping will have to come off. Someone will have to tell them they cannot in fact have everything they want. At some point a grown up has got to say no for all their sakes - I hope it is someone who does it kindly and tactfully.

I have no malevolent thoughts towards Kate and Gerry, I believe they are already in a hellish prison of their own making, and whatever happens, they always will be. I wouldn't wish their lives on anyone. Contrary to popular belief, I do not get any joy or satisfaction whatsoever in seeing people punished. I am more concerned with WHY people do things and I lean more towards compassion than retribution. I would be hopeless as a JP or any form of law enforcer, I don't want to imprison anyone.

I sincerely hope that Kate and Gerry are able to find a compassionate way in which to bond with and reassure their kids. And in fact, I hope among this tangled mess, a way can be found for the authorities to make it all as least traumatic as they can. The family rushed to Kate and Gerry's aid when they were in Portugal, I hope they are doing the same now.

I consider myself blessed that I had the hand of a good dad on my shoulder to curb my wilder excesses, one who was wise enough to point out the pitfalls of joining Che Guevera's fight for justice in South America and how dodging bullets and sleeping under the stars is not all its cracked up to be.

It is actually kind of sad, that Gerry does not have (or will not take) the good counsel of others.

    2. I've got no issue with the McCann supporters - they do what they have to/get told to do.

But they can't have it both ways - as @ 00.06 pointed out correctly - why the spaghetti logic of the often contradictory timelines in their statements, why the scribbling of an agreed, yet nonsensical timeline in Madeleine's colouring in book, why letting strangers traipse through 5a, minutes after the disappearance thus rendering any forensic testing meaningless, why leaving the twins in a creche - not a hundred yards from where Madeleine was allegedly spirited away?

(same twins, Kate did not think to bundle up and take down to the Tapas area with her, once she realised her first born had vanished)

Either: the doctors within the group were/are intelligent professionals - trained to act calmly under pressure - which this never looked like

Or: they were all in a state of accute 'merriness' that night

Or: something more more sinister all together

Not that I expect views on the above from the McCann acolytes - after all - the parents are doctors - they can't do wrong.

Wrote off crècheman as someone who went to the moon and totally missed the missing child story for years. A guy who walks with his child in bed clothes uncovered in the middle of the night, yet keeps a tatty old pair of pyjamas in the cupboard just Incase they're need many years later down the road? By reading some of the disgusting comments on here regarding Cristobells upbringing, it's obvious to me those critics couldn't give a damn about children's welfare, otherwise they wouldn't have made such cruel statements. Even if they were right about her parent's how can you blame her for that? Any adult that has been abused whether mentally, physically or emotionally won't want that to happen to other children which makes us all the more observant as to what's happening to the twins emotionally, It must affect them how can it not.

Whilst I agree it was impressive the way all the extended family flew out to PDL to assist the parents in their misinformation campaign but they don't seem to have done very much since. They are neither urging people to keep searching nor do they appear to be offering the parents any sane advice.

Actually, coming from a dysfunctional family, I found the way in which the clannish McCanns and Healys bulldozed the Portuguese and took over the investigation and publicity themselves, a tad Cosa Nostra, and more than a little smug. In fact they are the kind of families that make me scream and run off in the opposite direction. But what do I know.

    6. 21:21, Where on this blog has Cristobell put the boot in? All I see is people insulting her and making vicious comments about her parents! Are you saying she shouldn't defend herself? Also the topic for discussion was about the effect the parents lies could have on the twins, that's not unreasonable given the circumstances in which Madeleine disappeared! As for my comment about ''SICK PEOPLE'', just to make it clear, was referring to those antagonists who come here for the sole purpose of mischief making.

      Delete
    7. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those antagonists are angry family members shamed by the truth 00:16. Not one of them has the guts to point out the lunacy of what Maddie's parents are doing, they are taking the easy path to protect themselves. You can kind of see why Gerry and Kate are as they are.

In Tigerloaf's rebuttal (lol) of my above blog, all his responses are insults towards myself and my parents. He has not addressed any of the points I raised. His only justification for the parents continuing the search was reference to Kerry Needham. They seem to have a bee in their bonnet about Kerry these days.

Whilst I have nothing but respect and compassion for Kerry, I don't agree with what she is doing either. Her talents could be put to so much better use helping kids who are in danger now. She would make an excellent spokeswoman for a worthy charity.

Sadly, when a family is hit by tragedy there is a temptation to become trapped in a time warp and draw other people in with you. Kate and Gerry are trapped in that time warp. Reliving again and again, the night Madeleine disappeared. It's almost the first question every interviewer asks.

In what universe is it a good thing to relive the same nightmare every day for the rest of your life Tigerloaf? Oh, and pass it on to your kids. And what kind of sick fucks would encourage you to?

Probably the kind of snivelling coward who hides behind a troll name to hurl abuse at strangers on the net. Not so much a tiger as a chicken.

So the FBI who are the most experienced in the world crime agency would use less than accurate dogs is ridiculous and the FBI Regional director said himself in a press conference, "Martin Grimes and his English spaniel Eddie is the best in the world at finding bodies" quote.

To say that the McCann's very expensive legal team, paid for by the good old British public, would know more about these dogs reliability than the rigorous testing specialists in the FBI is ludicrous and completely farcical.

    14. 20:24 It is a sign of your massive ego that you believe you can convince the public that the evidence of the dogs doesn't count. That Sun video is out there, it has been seen by hundreds of thousands of people. Two specialist police dogs alerting to the scents they are trained to detect.

This will always be a sticky area for Kate and Gerry and as far as I know, even with their huge resources they have never been able to produce a legitimate expert willing to discredit the work of the police sniffer dogs.

The argument remains Gerry's 'the dogs are notoriously unreliable', but without anything of substance to support it, it is not a call that has been taken up by anyone outside of Team McCann. Police, Security and Emergency services continue to use sniffer dogs the world over.

..so I don't expect this to be ever posted - despite Ros claiming to be a liberitarian.

      But here it is:

      Re Jersey

'The evidence of lavish expenses claims and extraordinary financial waste includes paying £93,000 to Martin Grime, the handler of the sniffer dog Eddie, who was charged with the grim task of finding children’s bodies that were supposedly entombed in concrete in the institution, known as ‘the Jersey House of Horrors’, which closed in 1986'

      Daily Mail Oct. 2009

      Motivational factors - SOME
Same for the guy who shot the Luz dogs vid. - The Sun paid him 40k

If we decide to follow the money, as a motivational factor for behaviour, we should not just do that with Team McCann..but with all participants in this giant panto.

    17. I don't have a problem with anyone questioning the dogs 03:19, I'm all for lively debate.

Your theory is interesting. If I am reading it correctly, not only were the Portuguese police corrupt, but so too was the English dog handler and the guy who shot the video for the Sun?

For Martin Grime, his dogs are obviously his life's work, his pride and joy one might say. He has reached the pinnacle of his career, highly respected by Scotland Yard and the FBI. Quite an achievement. The idea that he would scupper his own beloved dogs and risk his own reputation to fit up a couple of doctors from Leicester is novel one.
As for the guy from the Sun who shot the video, he was recording the dogs in action, he was an onlooker, no more. And considering the video went viral, £40k was probably not that much.

But back to Martin Grime. I think it is absolutely right that he is well paid for his skills. He has reached the top because he is highly motivated and dedicated to his work, he is much in demand. Money clearly isn't his driving force, he has a unique set of skills and a devotion to duty that is exemplary, something those motivated by money will never understand. If the McCanns are dependent on discrediting Mr. Grime, I don't think they will have much luck.

    1. Security cameras are likely to have captured the new prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann minutes after she was snatched, a Portuguese detective has claimed.

Goncalo Amaral, who led the original investigation, said he is convinced the man was caught on camera before the film was wiped, according to the Mirror.

He claims the suspect, who was identified by Metropolitan Police detectives on BBC Crimewatch on Monday, would have walked past the hotel Estrela da Luz, located a few hundred yards from where Madeleine vanished.

‘I believe that the person carrying a child in his arms was captured on film from that very camera,’ he said.

‘I asked my officers to gather all the CCTV footage in Luz but, by the time they got to this hotel, the film from this camera had been wiped over.

‘It was a mistake and I will always regret it. I do feel Madeleine was let down.’

  18. 21:08. How bizarre to assume that you will be abused online if you use your real identity. Are you usually abused when you give people your name?

If you are scared of using your own name, you are either a timid little mouse terrified of your own shadow or you are an abusive troll trying to hide your shady online activities from the authorities and those who know you.

I actually feel a little sympathy for the McCanns that none of their supporters want to be publicly affiliated to them. None of them it seems, have any pride whatsoever in supporting these grieving parents or defending them online, not even the extended family who were queuing up to appear on Sky News in 2007 to tell the world how proactive they were and how they were going to turn over every stone.

The only online support the McCanns seem to have is from anonymous, abusive trolls who have no reasonable or logical explanations for all the obvious discrepancies in the parents' fairytale. Their mission it is to intimidate and scare off the critics - no wonder creeps like tigerloaf are terrified their real identities may be revealed.

  19. There is no way that the lie that dogs are unreliable will ever be generally accepted. These dogs are highly trained, tested to the max before and during working professionally and law enforcement rely on them and trust them on a daily basis. We observe their reliability in tv documentaries all the time. One would seriously have to question the motives of those who vehemently try to discredit the dogs!

  20. What a boring bast'ad you are tigerloaf. Even though I am the subject of your latest dreary diatribes I found myself nodding off. Are you related to Bennett? lol

You are absolutely right not to seek publicity for yourself, your 'work' is embarrassingly inept, you come across as a thug attempting to be a scholar, but you clearly lack any education because you have no understanding of the texts you read.

I cannot stress enough how important it is for kids, or anyone hoping to go further with their education, to comprehend the words they are reading. Sadly, even A-level students stray away from the set questions to give answers they have already prepared. Then they wonder why they fail.

Politicians do it all of the time of course, because they know they only have a limited time in which to get their message across and not answering questions is the name of the game.

Tigerloaf's message is, in case anyone missed it, lol, is that I am a low life trollop booted out by mother at the age of 9 because I was such a horrible kid and I have had a hatred for anyone who is 'nice' and successful ever since. He fails to understand that even if I were guilty of one or more of the above, it wouldn't make one iota of difference to the innocence or guilt of the McCanns.

Well I'm not going to bother replying because it is actually a reflection of tigerloaf's own warped view of the world that surrounds him, and it's a little bit sad. I don't know if he is aware of just how much he is revealing about himself.

I am not trying to inflict pain on a family. I am trying to stop that family from inflicting more pain on themselves. My interest in this case is the study of human behaviour and psychology, but first and foremost, I hate to see anyone suffer. No matter what they have done. I am offering sound advice, I understand the dilemma they are in, and as a poster said above, I believe they do want the best for the kids. And the best thing for the kids is the truth. Sadly, the parents believe they can contain the lie within the family, someone needs to tell them that they can't. It isn't cruel it is reality. Just as we have to tell screaming toddlers they can't play their drum in Sainsburys and cantankerous teenagers they can't dye their hair green, we have to say no to grown up kids too. It seems to me that the only child and the youngest sibling haven't heard that word too often in their lives.

It is impossible to observe a ship sinking without showing any concern for the passengers on board, even if some of them are currently enjoying Spanish canapes on a passing yacht. Methinks many remain who never have wanted to get on it in the first place, including a few who had no choice.

At some point there is going to be a mad scramble for the lifeboats, very few will actually want go down with the ship. The enthusiasm for the Madeleine Fund dropped dramatically after Kate and Gerry were made arguidos as did the updates from family and friends. Gerry and Kate alone have been the public face of The Madeleine Fund and the Madeleine awareness campaign, the Fund has no employees and the facebook page is run by the sinister nameless and faceless 'webmaster'. The McCanns are still using the paid services of Clarence Mitchell, where are all the keen family spokespeople who stepped up to the plate in 2007? Is a spokesman really a valid expense for a Fund that is supposedly for the search for a lost child?

I suspect that those who support the revival of the McCanns search for Madeleine have their own reasons for wanting the public to believe the child is alive, but the wellbeing of the parents and the twins are not among them. If they believed what they were doing was morally sound and defensible, they would do it in their own names. Let's face it, the parents could do with the support.

There will be no justice for the little girl, that has already been covered, money though -always leads a trail. If the public did find out that they're lying about the fund at a future date, then they'll soon question on whether they lied about the disappearance too. So the keeping of the fund is a good thing for me.
