THE BIG LIE - Tories only help themselves

Why oh why do the working classes vote for a Tory government that hates them.  A tory government that has trodden the workforce so far into submission that they must now accept zero hours contracts and inhumane workplace rules.  A benefits system that is designed to degrade and impoverish those who cannot work.  It's deliberate.  Nearly every scifi novel begins with de-humanising the masses.  All the advances hard won by unions of united workers in the past are gone.  It's ok now to time how long you take to go to the toilet and dock it from your pay. If you can't keep up with the work pace, there are hundreds behind you.  Working people aren't people anymore, they are units, easily replaced and easily disposed of.

There has been a huge turnaround in power.  We are nearly back to those Victorian days where we doffed our caps and thanked our rich patrons for the scraps from their tables.  All the power now is in the hands of the employers, and of course, the super rich, they have had 18 years of their Tory chums giving them tax breaks, bonuses and all the rights they need to treat their workers like shit.   As an older retired person it breaks my heart to see the pressure workers are under, particularly in supermarkets, where they are doing hard manual work non stop.  I am scared to ask for assistance because I fear the employee will be docked pay for taking a moment out.

Tories do not have the vision, or the will, to understand that making life better for everyone will make life better for them too.  Unfortunately their primary focus is greed.  Ie.  When in power they must accumulate as much wealth as they can for themselves, and the workers are best kept downtrodden or they will rebel.

A tory government would rather have us breaking rocks for a fortnightly pittance rather than sit idle.  They have regular meetings on ways in which to punish the undeserving poor.  Use them as free labour was a popular idea, get them stacking shelves for pound shop owners who donate to the tory party.  'put 'em in the army' says Richi.  And how about the DSS take out all the courtesy and respect from their official correspondence?  Let those recipients of benefits know their place.  They are not worthy.

Our ancestors changed out lives, they fought hard and won all those benefits enjoyed by my generation.  My first job was at the local Council, aged 16.  A the youngest there, my kind older colleagues took care of my every need even encouraging me to go have a lie down if I had a tummy ache.  Yes we had a restroom.  I wonder if Aldi's has one?  I was a child of the 60's, when Harold Wilson (absolute fecking Labour) was PM.  Enguland swung like a pendalum doo.  London was the place to be.  Why?  because we had an enlightened Labour government.  Imagine a country that attracts the top scientists, scholars, artists, writers, film makers?

An enlightened government, and I hope Keir Starmer will lead one.  I hope he will recognise that most traditional jobs have gone and use his imagination to create new ones.  Great Britain was once top of the world with art, science, invention and exploration, much of it brought to us by talented immigrants who saw this as a land of opportunity.  New industry is easy to create if your motive is to make life better for everyone. How brilliant would the NHS be if it were funded sufficiently?  If it employed enough staff?  The NHS is something we should be expanding, not cutting, Lord knows the need is there.

Imagine schoolchildren getting two healthy meals a day - free.  It is an investment.  Healthy children grow into healthy adults.  It would also create jobs and reboot the economy by using local produce.  And, my own pet cause, would be cooking classes in schools.  So much ill health is caused by being overweight.

Creating new jobs is not difficult when you consider the needs of the people now.  We need more science (there should be a scientist in the Cabinet), education, exercise, leisure.  Technology has changed our lives.  We are living longer, but we are becoming more solitary.  Future generations could all end up looking like Jabba the Hut sitting in a pod.

But I jest, so many hopes for today.  A Labour government that will invest in our towns and local communities.  One that will invest in the NHS and remove the inhumane treatment of those who have fallen on hard times.  The Tories are the creators of those 'hard times', please remember that when you put your cross.

This is Boris Johnson's Bullingdon Club, they have to burn a £50 note in front of a homeless person to join.

  1. For anyone who still doesn't believe that Governemntal power and leaderships are not pre-planned or pre-scripted the above picture should be noted. The haughty dickhead with his nose in the air in Spandaut Ballet pose is David Cameron. He once sold us the noyion pre-power that he knew nothing about computers or the internet. After booasting of his jewish heritage he then introduced the Brexit referendum and peomised to see it through. He retired shortly after and ran for the hills to be united with his millions of pounds bonus and has been sitting as head honcho of an AI company ever since.Sat on his brains in the picture is BOris-I don't-need-to-do-anything Johnson. The parody of a British buffoon. The other elite, privilged inbreds in their Bull club include George Osborne, future Chancellor Of The Exchequer who 'roomed'( yes, that's what they called it) with his fellow Bully boy club member Nathan Rothschild, who has just been sworn in as the head of that nest.

In the last general election( the one we actually got a vote in), Corbyn asked Jiohnson three times on the live TV debate what his plans for the NHS were and why he had been to behind-closed-doors meetings with Trump to discuss. Johnson resfused to answer or ignored. The following night Johnson declined to even be on the stage for the deabte,He knew he was the winner no matter what to show that confidence.Polls had it neck and neck and too close to call. Dominic CUmmings assured Johnson and us it was a lamdlside by 80% for the tories. He got it right on the button. How ?

Blair's old pro-Isreal partener in crime, Maragaret Hodge, decided to have Corbyn shouted out as anti semitic. The reason ? He said he refused to back the Israel stance against Palestine. He was against conflict and war and against the endless support Israel received.

Here we are four years on.Look at Israel; look at America's endless assmbly line of weaponsry they'r passing them ; look at the NHS. Will Stamer be any different ? No, Like Blair, he has Tory blood coursing through his veins abd has already staed he backs Israel blkindly and ''isn't bothered' about Westminster as he will be dealing only with Davos in Switzerland.

    1. Hi Ziggy, good to see you. I have tried to ignore British politics in recent years under the philosophy 'it's beyond my control', but today I could weep because with all the information now available to all of us, people still vote tory. It's that old 'working class can kiss my ass I've got the foreman's job at last' snobbery, perhaps their friends and employers think better of them for standing with the millionaires.

It's the ignorance that gets me Ziggy. When I was teaching I discovered every class I had from Key Skills to undergraduates were clueless about politics, Left and Right mean't nothing to them. And the reason the British know nothing about politics is because many decades ago, the powers that be did not want children to be influenced by their teachers. It was a taboo subject, for many children not only at home, but also in the classroom. I went to an all girls Catholic School, whose teachings leaned well towards the Right. In myself they turned out, not only a right little madam, but a Tory! Don't worry, I soon discovered the light.

It was heartbreaking the way Jeremy Corbyn was demonised as if compassion and decency, which he has in abundance, were terrible character faults. The anti-semitism claims was pure back stabbing. Like yourself, I am no fan of Starmer, but he is the lesser of two evils. How sad this is where we are in 2024.

If I do any praying this evening, it will be for Nigel Farage to get his arse kicked. If he doesn't, then sadly our country is moving in the same direction as Trump's MAGA and Le Penn's challenge in France. As a child of the sixties the phrases 'we must never forget' and 'this (holocaust) must never happen again', WWII was still a close memory. Now it seems completely forgotten. Trump wants to round unfortunate people up and stick them in detention camps, Sunak and Suella Braverman want to round unfortunate people up, fly them to some god forsaken place in Rwanda and then put them in detention camps. Even the SS might have flinched at that one.

As the old saying goes, whether the bus is red or blue it's gonna run you over...

I think here and over in the US it's a case of inheriting a poisoned chalkice right now. The US continually sponsoring Ukraine to do their bidding and doing thew same for Israel is a bad time to win the big job.I find it highly significant that between the most recent Bilkderberg meeting, where the real decisions are made, and the elkection/s is the Arabs removing the petrodollar. The ramifications are potentially colossal. The petrodollar is the one legitimate thing that's kept the US afloatr despite having trillions in debt.It smacks of a gesture of protest Re Israel's illegal war and paranoid obsession with anti - Semitism. They saty History has a way of repeating itself.I believe that way is orchestrated delibirately.1918 pandemic ; 1929 Wall St crash and great depression that spread across Europe and here. It worked perfectly for those who had already hidden their cash in Swiss accounts and brought about enough instanility to justify a world war or two. Deja vu anyone ? This could be the fisrt rumblings of us all needing to be 'saved' by our overlords by saying bye bye to fiat currency. Then we'll find out why all the 5(+)G was put in place as we wave goodbye to normality to live in a playstation world of dead-eyed wonder.

Sunak has subtley lost this on purpose. His stereotypical ''ooo it's grim oop north'' stance was a deliberate error. His 'accidental'' disclosure of having £900,000 in the bank(s) while we were going through a hardship / cost of living phase. It's an old Bullingdon trick ; antagonise the plebs, smile and get back to the champagne.

Blair was Tory through and through and his best friends are from the Tory party of that time. he was the voice of Isreal and a self-appointed guard dog for them.Netanyahu stole his election and what happened ? The mainstream went allout to say Putin had stolen his( and won Trump's for him). No mention of Israel. Starmer has gone on record and on camera stating that he believes that Israel have ''every right to attack'' . Corbyn , in his naive vision, talked about undoing the problems and resolutions without bloodshed.Nobody picked up on the fact that if that's ant-Semitic, then it follows that it's anti-Semitic to strive for peace.

I recall , in Uni, i was in my 30s, a mature student. I had a coffee and was about to leave when another mature student( he was 43) asked if i fancied diving into town with him to see Scargill at thwe Union HQ. I had to pick my little boy up and said i had to pass. One of the 20 something students piped up ''I'll come, what kind of stuff do they do ??''
They had been born under Thatcher and must have thought it was just a one party country growing up. They were right without knowing unfortunately.
