MCCANN TROLLS ON TWITTER

So Sky News have once more dedicated a day's news to the suffering of Gerry and Kate McCann, the tortured parents of missing people's poster girl Madeleine McCann.  A couple who left their children alone while they went out to dine and a couple who spent the night phoning the press while others searched for their missing daughter.

For seven years these parents have taken every opportunity to grab the front pages, by whatever means, and the morning after the poor, battered body of Alice Gross is found, we get saturation news coverage of, err, the McCanns.

But lets take a closer look at these 'trolls'.  I am one of them.  I use my own name and picture and none of my tweets are aggressive, rude or, God forbid, threatening.  Look at my timeline Mr. Brunt, in fact look at the timelines of the majority of anti's on the McCann hashtag - you will see that they are ordinary, decent people who simply refuse to buy into this scam and who will not allow such a blatant miscarriage of justice.

This is the age of information Mr.  Brunt, and anyone with the gumption to look beneath the headines, can see that this was a cover up on a major scale, and that people such as yourself are trying to hoodwink us.  Why Mr. Brunt?  Unfortunately for the powers that be, the people do have a voice, and none of us will be persuaded by these sledgehammer tactics of labelling disbelievers haters and trolls.

I suggest anyone interested in this story should check out the internet group who compiled this dossier - Stop the Myths, JATKY2 - read their forums, and then try to justify these Groups, Mr. Brunt.  You will find quite a few pages relating to myself, together with a variety of obscene, photoshopped pictures of me.  Tell me Mr. Brunt, is it not considered vile behaviour if it comes from supporters of the McCanns?  When I lost my mother I spent an evening with a group of them trying to persuade me to commit suicide?  Is that still OK with you and Mr. Gamble?

I will never know if my book Cry and You Cry Alone - a memoir of my time in care - was good or bad, because of my McCann stance.  I was the 'evil' one.  I never look at my own Amazon page, because they did their worst. So Summers and Swan you are not the first authors to have been targeted in this case and it wasn't even about the McCanns.

It is absolute nonsense to suggest that the McCanns or their children are being threatened - 99% of those who do not believe the McCanns are normal people who conduct themselves with the same courtesy and civility as they would in the real world.  Sky, or whoever is the source of this story, has picked out 1% of the online commentary on the McCann case, and remarks by the way, that none of the recognised Madeleine forums would ever tolerate.  It in no way represents the majority of people who do not believe the McCanns.

You must be feeling like one of those biblical preachers Mr. Brunt, telling the masses that there was an old guy in the sky watching their every movement. It might have worked in those days Mr. Brunt, but the British public now have Google and Joana Morais.

    1. Martin Brunt did not harrass Brenda. He asked her a few polite questions, to which she politely replied. Door step journalism has been around for ages, and Brenda then invited Martin Brunt inside. The frenzy of accusations against Martin Brunt- coming from the same group of conspiracy theorists- only adds weight to the theory that you are all mentally ill and not getting the right treatment. For God's sake! Brenda tweeted about the McCanns at times from 7am to midnight. She was in need of help well before Martin turned up at her door. There's nothing wrong with being mentally ill. It's an illness, just like cancer. However, you have to take responsibility for your illness, and not inflict it on the rest of the world. You are all nutters. You don't advocate for any other missing child, other than Madeliene McCann. You believe she is dead (and she probably is)- So why not focus on the millions of living, vulnerable children in the world? Answer: They won't get you all the attention you think you receive, by associating yourself with the world's most 'famous' missing child!

  4. An excellent post Cristobell. It is quite extraordinary that Sky has devoted an entire day to the McCanns, in what is obviously a highly orchestrated attempt at deterring (or shaming) people into silence. Summers & Swan are even thrown into the mix, with a plug for their misleading and failed book. I don't condone abuse or threats but as you say, there are abusive people on both sides and, from what I've seen, supporters of the McCanns are in a league of their own, and they must have the McCanns blessing in this regard, otherwise they'd have been disowned a long ago. You'd think the parents would be embarrassed by their followers but apparently not.

  6. Good for you! The McCanns were at the very least guilty of neglect, but as far as the case is concerned, then I, too, trust the dogs. And Goncarlo Amaral has my admiration for his dogged pursuit of justice.

  7. I'm 99% sure that Summers & Swan are behind the dossier, this has'Marketing Strategy' plastered all over it - backfired spectacularly methinks, still at least the books are in the top 10,000 on Amazon (just)

  8. Another excellent blog, Rosalind/Cristobell. You have such a way with words.

As Man from Atlan (Atlantis?) posted the McCanns are guilty of neglect (and getting rich through it). The dogs, GA and the forums won't go away until there is justice for Madeleine.

  9. Atlan. A planet as precursor to Atlantis. I write on the Amanda Knox case as "Ergon" and just got my Twitter account @manfromatlan suspended after a concerted effort by her trolls, so I know whereof Rosalinda speaks :)

    1. I wasn't criticising your name (my post at 08.51), I was just wondering if the last few letters got cut off when you posted. I don't visit other sights or use Twitter so I haven't seen your name elsewhere before, sorry for the confusion.

    2. Darn, I should have typed "sites" not "sights", on my post of 09.05. My brain seems to be AWOL sometimes when I'm posting.

  10. The truth has a habit of surfacing - sometimes after a long time; it seems the knee-jerk reaction by govt/officials to cover up is too well embedded now to allow reasoned discussion such as PB and Cristobell offer; when did our society start adopting the view that anyone disagreeing with the conventional wisdom or official line is an 'abuser'

  12. Was it just me but has anybody else realised that the 'first' reports of this were along the lines of "wrongly accused" and repeated for a time yet a few hours later the stories have been amended to exclude this statement.

This again IMO is an attempt by the MSM to "embed" a message into the minds of those who are targeted by this news. In the sixties this was known as subliminal messaging and was ruled illegal and is obviously now outlawed...or is it?

Perhaps the Mc's should answer the question (amongst many others) regarding the amount of money (circa 1.5m GBP per year) that has been spent by the UK Police (aka the UK taxpayer in a time of austerity) in trying to find their 'missing' daughter when their Ltd Company has spent...zero

    1. it all seems so unprofessional from sky news/ JG and two authors etc imo just because some do not think the conspiracy theory of Abduction is answer to this mystery, but beleive simply that an accident, much more likely had occured of some sort. imo that is not being subject to abuse or called a hater but being logical from what we know so far !!! se

  13. It's all done now - the double whammy:

Sky News made it 'McCanns the victims day' today

    &

Kate and Gerry, yet again, getting tens of thousands from the supposedly free British press - for having been 'smeared'.

Pack up your tents guys - show's over

No lengthy rant from me on the subject - suffice to say - this very respectable and respected gentleman who said this six months after the disappearance - will be proved right -

if there is justice in this (or the other) world:

'The McCanns are hiding a big secret' - this guy is no troll after all.

There's nothing ordinary or decent about this sort of thing. Nobody writing on Twitter knows what happened to Madeleine McCann. What happens here is people read a few snippets on the internet and convince themselves they know what happened then feel so convinced by their own guesswork they want to shout about it from the rooftops. Other people join in and that simply reinforces the original sentiment.

You don't know what happened. Even if you think you're right you can't say that with 100% certainty and it would have to be 100% certain to justify attacking a family whose daughter has been killed.
