SONIA POULTON ON LBC - SHOULD MCCANN FILES BE SHELVED?

Enjoy folks!

For those struggling to download the above, it is a debate between Sonia Poulton and former detective John O'Connor - the question: Why has Madeleine received more police assistance than any other missing child, and should the investigation continue.

Sonia spoke first.  She agreed the case of missing Madeleine is extraordinary, explained that she is making a film/documentary about the case, and urged listeners to go read the police files and information online.  She has heard of new developments in the investigation that would point at the end being in sight.

John O'Connor began by placing the entire blame on the Portuguese police for wrongly assuming the parents were involved.  He then goes on to tell us what martyrs the parents are, and how their endeavours (dodgy detectives) provided mountains of evidence and information that Operation Grange have spent 4 years ploughing through (Oh yeah, lol), hence the long delay.

Kerry Needham, by contrast, did not have the 'resources' the McCanns had, ergo, all the evidence has been lost, and re-opening her case would be akin to chasing shadows.  Unlike Operation Grange who are not chasing shadows, but are chasing genuine spotty men, ugly men and smelly men presumably.

Sonia closes the debate by mentioning that a trailer for her forthcoming documentary will be released in October on the anniversary of Brenda Leyland's death - make sure you listen to the very end to hear it :)

  1. The most potent of all power behind this sad case is that of mainstream media, nothing more, nothing less! The name and the images of MM equalled instant millions, who benefitted the most? K&G? I think not.

  3. Everybody lies, the only truth in this crazy affair is just that. Brenda Leyland is, is what? Everyone accepts Gamble's stunt, and no one questions the absurdity of it all. Where is Taylor, let me question him under caution.

  4. Where is Taylor, who is Taylor, and what's his badge number? Serious question and not at all rhetorical this time.

  5. The KO article was released in the Daily Star prior to the final court verdict, therefore the cause of death ( conclusion? ) must be plausible and valid. Beam me up, seriously, who falls for this carp? I am seething about the Brenda Leyland episode, and make no mistake.

  6. Me thinks we are getting near the end. The public are being directed to the police files. John o connor was so unconvincing in his poor parents mantra and i dont believe he was even trying to be convincing. He was merely there to deflect away from the very strong message sonia was communicating

  8. 19: 56 Correcting the spelling of another poster - a bit over and above for an admin, lol.

I see Sonia and I are now being accused of treachery, forsooth! Who have we betrayed? We are still trying to get the truth behind Madeleine's disappearance into the public domain, so we have not betrayed the victim.

The anti movement perhaps? Nope, because there isn't one. The antis hate each other just about as much, if not more, than the suspected perpetrators of the original crime. The antis by their very nature, just don't know when to talk and when to keep schtum, Even a casual observer, never mind a highly trained MI5 cyber cop, could spot in an instant, that there were no organised gangs within the 'anti movement'. In 7 years the biggest threat Team McCann could come up with was a 63 year old lady, who had been persuaded that what she was doing on the internet was a criminal offence.

But back to the treachery, lol. Generally, the person who shouts treachery, is the person betrayed. It is personal to them, either as an individual or a group that they have strong ties to. It is common with religious groups and cults, if someone leaves, they have betrayed not only the group as a whole, but every member individually. Just take a peek at any religion's inclusion/exclusion clauses.

The good lord takes every opportunity to point out that our first loyalty in this life is to him. If you betray him, you will be cast out into the wilderness, you will no longer be part of the warm and cosy embrace of the rest of the flock. Treachery is the stuff of Christian and Greek tragedy, more evil than the 7 deadly sins, it is a capital offence and a one way ticket to hell. But I'm not quite sure how it applies on social media.

I think there may be a valid case for Kings, Queens, Cult Leaders. Despots, Divas etc to scream betrayal when a minion takes their loyalty elsewhere, but for the rest of us, its a bit presumptuous to demand that kind of creepy over the top loyalty from anyone, least of all, from acquaintances on the internet. We can't even demand it of those we know and love, loyalty goes hand in hand with respect. We earn both through the way in which we conduct ourselves in this life. We can't buy it and we can't employ someone else to go out and get it for us. That doesn't stop those with a few million to spare, from attempting to fastrack it with hard cash (like the McCanns) but if you don't have the charm to carry it through once the doors have been opened for you, your brief reign is over and you have wasted several million.

But back to the treachery, lol. I think I might dig out a couple of episodes of the Tudors before I nod off :)

    1. He's sucked in by people far sharper than him, its hilarious to watch. The man who believes 50% of it, but not the other 50%. Random from an investigative perspective.

  9. I recommend reading 'The Meditations' by Marcus Aurelius, the last true Roman emperor to anyone,

it is as someone once said: Buddhism with b*lls.

Markey wrote amongst other great things:

'Everything we hear is an opinion. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth'

The religious zealots - of any ilk, hate that notion - they have ALL the answers already - the world was formed in as much time as it takes to boil an egg, women are inferior to men and the Sun revolves around the (flat) Earth.

To listen to these numb nuts is a waste of time entirely.

Open your eyes, form your own opinions and harm no one.

What's the worst the old gits can do to you?

Hit you with their tartan shopping trolleys?

  12. This message is for Martin Brunt. [If I may, Ros?]

    Dear Martin:

Stay away from the McCann affair and be grateful for the position you are in. Just thank your lucky stars that by association you have been let off the hook and no action has been taken against you. Back off from crowbarring burglary in Portugal
with a child you haven't seen and never knew.

    Yours truly, Archival Helen
