BANNING BOOKS IS ANOTHER FORM OF BULLYING

Even when the McCanns win, they lose.  Karma.  No enlightened 21st century citizen wants to see books burned, the thought of it sends shudders down everyone's spines.  All the McCanns' efforts to bury the truth have had the opposite effect, they only had to google 'Streisand' before they began their ill advised quest, it would have saved them a fortune and maybe even their reputations.  Ce la vie.  There were no triumphant speeches on the steps of Lisbon Court from Gerry and Kate and no congratulatory messages of support from all those prominent friends and journalists, just a chavvy gutterfest from their number one fan Antonella Lazzeri in the Sun.

I don't want to attack the Labour Party, especially as another 5 years of tory misery looms, but to see top Ministers fighting for media control alongside Gerry McCann, chills me to the bone.  I can see why Labour teamed up with the McCanns, they are the epitome of the modern British family.  They didn't send any government spokesmen or child protection officers to Karen Matthews door to assist her.  Nor did anyone give a flying one about what was said about her in her press in that intervening period while the world scorned wept with her.  A time at which the McCanns were being flooded with cash and worldwide sympathy.  It is a class issue, and all very PLU (People Like Us), the fantasy abduction is a direct threat to the middle classes, the 'we all do it' ones who leave their kids in hotel rooms.  If it could happen to perfect parents like Kate and Gerry, it could happen to them.  They are simplistic thinkers at heart.

Gerry and Kate McCann, the eminent cardiologist and his fragrant wife were the right victims, at the right time.  What they wanted, the Labour Party wanted too, a DNA database of all its citizens and a government sanctioned enforcement agency to police the internet 24/7 under the guise of seeking out paedophiles and perverts.  Cherubic, under fours it seems are in constant danger of being snatched from their beds by introverted computer geeks and sociaphobes who sneak out after dark to prowl holiday complexes, they have to do a lot of prowling, as only a special child will do.  It is only with a specialised police force watching child pornography day and night, that they can prevent child abuse apparently.  Meanwhile, over 90% of abuse victims continue to suffer within their own homes.

The McCanns quickly picked up on Amber Alert - is it a good thing?  I don't know, its a good way of collecting every new born baby's DNA, and a good way to enforce stricter border controls and keep track of the population.  As for finding missing kids, hard to tell.  Apparently enough children go missing every year to fill a large inner city comprehensive, yeh, who knew?

Kate and Gerry also quickly took advantage of the ridiculous libel laws both here in the UK and in Portugal to silence ANYONE who did not believe their fairy tale abduction story, the most dangerous among them, the detective who led the original investigation.  Probably the most litigious bereft parents in the world, the McCanns couldn't let their hatred of Goncalo Amaral go.  What they really hate is the truth, they want the internet silenced to protect their children.  What about the children of Goncalo Amaral?  How do you think they might feel at reading Lazerri's 'Monster' article?  Once again, those screaming the loudest, have given it the least thought.

To politicians I would say, beware the McCanns, they will take you down with them, of that you can be sure.  I hate to be the one to point this out, but whoever selected (or did they push themselves forward?) Gerry and Kate to head Hacked Off, guaranteed their cause would be doomed. And thank all the Gods there may for that.

This book burning triumph of the McCanns can and should be condemned by free thinkers, those who care passionately about Freedom of Speech.  There is a malevolent force at the heart of this 'child' abduction case, a force that is ruthlessly pushing to restrict Freedom of Speech everywhere, online especially.  They have already succeeded in keeping The Truth of the Lie from the UK, and made an example of an innocent member of the public who dared to criticise them.  Right now, they are being financially rewarded for their book burning, journalist jailing, pursuits while a decent detective who  has never faltered in his duty to the victim, is forced to hand over all his worldly goods to the former suspects!  How obscene is that?

This case is much, much more than a missing child, this case is a threat to Freedom of Speech in the UK.  The Truth of the Lie has never been available in the UK, we must ask why?  Who is powerful enough to prevent the publication of a book and the screening of a documentary?

Instead of answering or confronting the allegations made against them, the parents have ducked, dived and dodged the questions and the lie detectors.  Their church going and medical professions should be enough, they are very much up there in the 'how dare the plebs' zone, the God Complex in action.

They have begged the world again and again for help and cash (especially cash), yet they didn't publicise Smithman (they couldn't afford it, £4m not enough) and wouldn't take part in the Scotland Yard reconstruction.  The only thing they enter with any degree of enthusiasm, is litigation with the promise of a fat pay cheque for their Fund (to be spent as they wish).

Meanwhile, all criticism of them must be stamped out.  Examples must be made, 'trolls' (now officially all non McCann believers) must be tracked down and placed in a dock before a Judge.  This is the Britain of Gerry McCann, Jim Gamble and every arse licking politician and journalist who dances to the McCann tune.  Before you vote next week, ask your prospective MP if they will pushing for a crackdown on the internet trolls, sheriff style and news stories censored by those with the biggest coffers?  Ask if they agree with books being removed from shelves and burned?

I have written to Harriet Harman and Yvette Cooper.  I haven't received a reply from either of them, and don't really expect to, but if they get in, I will be watching their child protection initiatives with great interest.  I would especially like to see if they are planning any more dawn raids on the public Operation Ore style (again).

Support Freedom of Speech.  Support Goncalo Amaral, the only man standing up to this huge injustice.

    4. "What part of 'guilty of libel' don't you understand?"

It's that part, that doesn't mention the word libel in this whole judicial process. Mr. Amaral hasn't been found guilty of libel. It wasn't about libel. Read my lips. No. Libel. Trial.

      Delete
    5. So what do you think the trial was about, and why was he found guilty?

      Delete
    6. So, what do you think it was about, now you've learned that it wasn't a libel trial. And "found guilty", you're making it sound like a criminal trial, which it wasn't as well.
All these smearing lies won't help against the now acting police catching the crooks eventually anyway.

    7. OK - it was the judgement of the Portuguese court that Amaral had written false and libelous statements in his book, which was subsequently banned. Is that better?

      Delete
    8. Nope. Nothing was concluded about statements being false, nor libellous. It was only said that his statements caused distress, but not more than the distress already caused by losing the daughter. How the judge came from that to condemning Mr. Amaral for the entire amount claimed by the parents themselves is a puzzle. Let's wait and find out when he appeals.

    2. How do we know that had anything to do with the McCanns refusing rather than SY's decision to use actors? This is opinion presented as fact as far as I can see, unless you can show some evidence of this alleged refusal by the parents to participate in the CW reconstruction.

    1. Despite everything you abominable people try to fit him up with, he rises above it - the McCanns could learn a few lessons in dignity from him.

However, it matters not whether Goncalo is a Lord of Crime with an oozie in one hand and a machete in another, ALL the McCanns problems stem from what they did with their daughter Madeleine. That is the huge elephant in the room that has the public's full attention, and quite rightly.

The McCanns problems did not end when Goncalo Amaral was removed from the case (at who's request?), they escalated. Taveres Almeida made the PJ's position very clear - simulation of abduction and occultation of the body and in the 8 years that have passed since, no-one, not even Scotland Yard, have come up with anything as credible.

The vindictive campaign against Goncalo Amaral is seen for what it is by many. The McCanns cannot all out trash the work of the Portuguese police, so they have isolated one individual to be the target of all their accumulated anger and frustration. Its classic psychopathic behaviour, and fascinating how creatures such as yourself have latched onto it with such enthusiasm.

The McCann's are also liars they've been caught out many times, it just needs a conviction doesn't it?

    3. Amaral has been proved to be a liar in court on two occasions.

When you say that the McCanns are lying you are just resorting to hearsay and what you read on blogs.

    4. You just don't get it do you? It doesn't matter what Goncalo does or doesn't do (or more accurately, fake stories planted by McCann brown nosers), the only thing that matters, is what did Gerry and Kate do with their infant daughter?

It has now been proved beyond reasonable doubt, I think, that there was no abductor. Four years of Scotland Yard investigations and still nothing, zilch, nada, no dramatic rescue, no suspects, no arrests and after 8 years, not ONE credible alterative to the PJ's penultimate conclusions.

And I am not resorting to hearsay. I am using all the senses the good Lord gave me and looking at this case without blinkers. I am one of the few commentators who has actively researched this case from both perspectives. Such was my desire to believe in the goodness of human nature, I tried every which way to prove the parents innocent and my sympathies go to Operation Grange if that is what they are trying to do, cause it ain't easy!

Kate has said herself that she lied, she said it in her book! They did not want the media to know they were being investigated so Gerry feigned illness! Image was clearly more important than truth.

    5. If you're such an expert tell me this..If someone is telling the truth why would they need to keep changing their statements, each time they get caught out telling lies? even on the TV when being interviewed by some presenter, Kate said, I NEVER said the children were upset the night before, until the presenter said she had it written down and that is precisely what she said. There was a long silence and Kate seemed to get lock-jaw. Do you want me to go on, broken shutters, Gerry not owning a blue holdall (bag) and that's just for starters.

    8. I believe Kate did have a dream!! Why would the person that took the phone-call lie...Jerry was away, and the policeman that received the call said she was upset and crying. She said... "she'd had a dream that Madeleine was buried on a hill" That's when they were made suspects.

I'm sure if the phone-call had been recorded that would be proof, but like everything else to do with this case It's probably been whooshed! I'd hazard a guess that Jerry had a right ding-dong with her about that. Noticed she never denied saying it though, did she? I'm surprised he allows her to speak at all.

    1. Nasty, evil, malicious, vindictive campaign, yes, and I will say it again. They have pursued this former detective to the point of insanity and beyond. It was not enough to get him removed from his job, they have actively hounded and tormented him, Kate wanted him to feel misery and fear and she has used donations from the public to ensure he does. They have torn his reputation to shreds and made sure he would never work again, nor receive any payment for the work he has done. What a shame they did not put as much energy into looking after their kids.

They have tried to portray Goncalo Amaral as a monster, but they can't, because he isn't one and they have tried again and again to drag him down into the mud and the blood and the beer, the Jeremy Kyle world they themselves inhabit, but all to not avail.

They cannot take away his dignity, his charm, his good manners, his towering intellect and his talent for writing. They are his alone, qualities they don't have now and never will. The McCanns may have clawed their way up the social ladder, but they have nae class.

If you think pressing for justice for a little girl who disappeared is vindictive, then your own sense of morals are seriously skewed.

I did however keep my distance. I've never had anything to do with his Madeleine Foundation nor have I signed any of his Petitions or followed any of his 'lets bombard everyone with letters' campaigns and his leafleting of Rothley disgusted me.

To be honest, I am ashamed of myself now that I didn't speak out more, but I desperately wanted to stay on CMoMM as there were many members who's thoughts and opinions I respected, and I knew a word against Tony Bennett on there would lead to an instant ban. I wanted to be there til the end, so I bit my tongue.

I don't blame Tony, I blame myself, I allowed myself to be censored and believe me, I am kicking myself now. I thought it better to counter his nonsense from within and the mischievous part of me quite enjoying playing around with words so I could draw attention to his lunacy and dodge the bullet at the same time ;)

Kate and Gerry were not brutalised by the Portuguese police, the worst Kate could throw at them, was the fact that they weren't offered a cup of Earl Grey by a policeman in a freshly laundered pinny. The PJ were too busy trying to find the couple's missing daughter.

    1. 5A was unlocked that night - anyone - in Luz that night, could have walked
in untroubled and abducted the child.

By leaving the doors unlocked and having no clear line of sight from the
Tapas bar, the number of possible abductors increases exponentially - WAY beyond the Tapasniks alone.

Whether (leaving 5A unlocked and unobserved) was by accident or design - remains to be seen.

I do agree though, that 'stranger' abduction as the first viable theory is
highly unlikely - as convenient as that would be to some parties.

If I was a betting person: woke and wandered or abduction by a person(s) known to the doctors and possibly even Madeleine herself - would not be
      off the table.

There was no other person having died there before the McCann's stayed there, then there's the hire car, the boot being left open day, and night!!! Would anyone leave the car insecure because a bag had supposedly leaked it's contents? The story just reeks of suspicion from start to finish.

      Delete
    3. Death in the apartment puts the McCanns firmly in the frame 03:41, cadaver odour takes time to develop and Gerry saw Madeleine 'alive' at 9.00pm, when he had his proud father moment.

The fact that the blood and cadaver dogs alerted ELEVEN times only to McCann related items and to nothing else, makes it a pretty foregone conclusion, they just need the evidence to back it up. Scotland Yard have hit the same wall as their Portuguese counterparts, and Gerry keeps rubbing it in with 'noooooo evidence'.

And where was the pink blanket? We all saw it, it was photographed on Madeleine's bed and mentioned by Kate on Oprah, yet it wasn't among the items checked by Eddie and Keela, so where did it go?

    4. Cristobell, It really doesn't give you much confidence in a "Police Force" that can't/won't do a proper investigation into these people. It's a bit hypocritical having to pay towards a pretend police force.

As for the pink blanket, it got whooshed the same as Jerry's blue holdall that miraculously disappeared, along with Madeleine's clothing.

    2. There is no proof that the McCanns and the Tapas friends have been investigated. We have seen Scotland Yard flying out to PDL on numerous occasions, sending rogatory letters and interviewing blue collar workers and jet setting paedophiles, but no evidence they have ever actually questioned the main players.

The McCanns and their friends were regularly leaving their table at the Tapas bar and disappearing for lengthy periods of time - they are all providing alibis for each other. Realistically, they were the only ones with the means and the opportunity, gawd knows what the motive was.

Gerry, while 'having dinner', was seen and spoken to by Jez Wilkins, then it would appear, was seen again carrying a child towards the beach. Russell stayed in his apartment to care for his sick daughter, Jane was seen loitering (the lookout?), Matthew was checking on kids with his ears.

They have all got a hell of lot of explaining to do - and unless they are interrogated, we will never know.

  16. This is what happens when Gerry is asked a question, that was clearly not expected: - he storms off

    Spanish TV 28/082007

Gonzalez asked the McCanns: "You were the last people to see Madeleine alive, is that correct?"

Mr McCann replied: "That's part of the investigation and we are not going to divulge anything that might get in the way of the investigation."

In response, the presenter said: "The investigation took a new turn this month when traces of blood were discovered in the room. When you heard that how did you react?"

It was at this point that Mr McCann snapped and left the room, adding: "You have to talk to the police."

Therefore to think that G&K would meet the great unwashed for a public Q&A session with questions not pre approved by the Team McCann PR machine (and thus worthless) - is a tad naïve, I'm afraid.

The pink blanket has been mentioned many times, including by Kate on the Oprah show. It was photographed on Madeleine's bed the night she was 'taken', so the 'abductor' didn't take it.

    3. The same forum that features a 'Portuguese' called Pedro (catchphrase 'my friends')

When that cesspit was still an open forum - Pedro was asked by some of the freethinking posters at the time to translate phrases from
Portuguese into English - Pedro couldn't do that - as 'he' was/is just another sock of the bbitter2 forum admin. - and she has no Portuguese at all - apart from google translate lol

When found out - the forum closed to non Team McCann members

Team McCann are just too transparent - just as well there's only a handful of 'em these days.

    4. 18:41 Cheers for that! Unfortunately, as I found to my cost, some forums are very restrictive and overly paranoid imo. The Sun episode opened my eyes to the number of lunatics out there, and sadly, many are supposedly on the side of Madeleine.

If people are prepared to be reasonable, almost anything can be discussed imo. I enjoy hearty debate, and have often had my opinions changed through logical, respectful and reasoned arguments. I have never had my views changed by 'because I said so' or 'shut up or your banned' - those tactics generally have the opposite effect.

If the baying chimps on JATKY2 could string a polite sentence together (even as a group effort) I would be more than happy to reply to them. As it is, there is not much I can do with 'neh, neh, told ya so' without feeling as though I am picking on the mentally impaired.

    5. 23:26 Lol, Pedro is indeed hilarious. In 8 years his pigeon English remains at 'my thoughts are yours' or 'your words are mine' one of the two, lol.

    6. Hahaha - Pedro is the token (and very much phantom) Portuguese - created by Bonnybraes to give her market stall some credibility and an international flair. He pops up on the moths - or should that be myths?
forum too - with the same 3 stock phrases.

Not a cunning linguist by all accounts

There was an odious American sock in the beginning too - he was retired when Bonny couldn't handle the time difference between the States and Blighty anymore.

    1. 19:23 Fortunately, Kate opened a Fund at around the same time, so lets compare. On 1st May, Kate announces to her 611,000 followers that she is going to do a sponsored bike ride. Her post gets 13,665 likes and 1,390 shares - yet she still has less than 100 sponsors pledging modest amounts that have not yet reached £2k. This is in spite of the fact that she has the mainstream media on her side, an official spokesman and an army of little helpers.

Out of 611,000 followers and a plea to the British public via all the usual suspects, after 7 days, less than 100 people have sponsored her. The McCanns Facebook page gives the impression that they have mass support, each of their posts getting thousands and thousands of likes that bears no resemblance whatsoever to reality. How do you get 6000 likes in one go, then nothing thereafter? How thick does the 'webmaster' think the public are?

The majority of the British public do not believe the McCanns, and Kate in sports gear is another Savile and another Armstrong using charity to cover up crimes. Their wicked pursuit of Goncalo Amaral is all over the internet and spreading and ordinary people are questioning why grieving parents are so determined to annihilate the former detective who searched for their daughter. The public know right from wrong and the McCanns are wrong on every level.

Goncalo Amaral on the other hand, has been trashed by the McCanns and the British press for 8 years, most recently with a centre page spread in the Sun calling him a monster, yet already has 10 times more support than Kate and this is growing daily.

I quite like these stats arguments, have you got any more?

  23. Good heavens what do I do that incites such extreme hatred from certain members of CMoMM? They don't know me, so I don't take it personally, lol, but I do fear for their mental health. I also question their motives for being involved in this case, such intensity of hatred towards a stranger is quite bizarre, and sets off all sorts of questions in my mind. The answers usually include dissatisfaction with their own lives, anger, bitterness, regret, realisation and of course the biggy, projection.

Aiyoyo especially, oozes bile like a gargantuan boil waiting to explode, but he/she is not alone. I have to say, I have never really got little gangs who hang around discussing how much they hate certain individuals, I always find it quite comical, and slightly pathetic. I have never had to hide in a corner to say what I wanted and it isn't something I would ever aspire to.

I'm loud and proud Aiyoyo and I ain't going away. And you still don't get that art takes many forms, which is sad, because it is in everything we say and everything we do, especially our work, because it defines us. I kind of understand your anger and bitterness Aiyoyo, its common in the unenlightened and there are millions just like you. You can baa about it with your fellow sheep when they next brand you.

It's the tall poppy syndrome - such a particularly British disease.

You create a successful blog - in your own/real name - those lurking in the shadows cry: Shouldavebeenme - there's the real envy in all of this. That's why Tone is spitting feathers - who in their right mind would want to read his pultrid drivel or BB2's?

Whilst not agreeing with all your posts - your blog allows me to air my views - and I think this world has far too many conformists and not enough liberitarians.

    1. 23:45 You are interpreting my interest in this case as hate, not I. For me it is research, and overall I am detached.

I do however, hate with a vengeance, the terrible acts that brought an end to a 4 year old child's life and the failure to allow her siblings and those who loved her, some sort of closure. I hate the way the parents have used the image of their daughter to get sympathy and cash for themselves. I hate the way in which the parents have tugged again and again at the nation's heart and purse strings for money to find a little girl that they know can't be found. And I hate the thought of that little girl crying in that dark, strange apartment for parents who were responsibly parenting with their mates down at the tapas bar.

I also hate the way in which they have vindictively pursued Goncalo Amaral, the former detective who led the investigation into their daughter's disappearance. They robbed him of his job, tarred his name, prevented him from working and froze all his financial assets so that he couldn't defend himself.

They were out to crush him and they almost got away with it, but I am not the only one who hates the evil actions of the McCanns, there are thousands and they are speaking out now with their donations and support for the only cop thus far to remember the victim. God Bless you Goncalo, you are no longer alone :)

    2. Please remind me - for what good cause did the saint Amaral donate the proceeds of his book?

      Delete
    3. The proceeds of his book was was to secure a future for him and his family, if only he had the foresightednes of the McCann's he could have had his funds placed in a limited company account to do with as he wished.
And while we are on the subject of donations from books, perhaps you would enlighten me/us, how much of the proceeds of Kate McCann's book "madeliene" has gone on the search for Madeline?
      Answer on a postge stamp.

    4. But it's Amaral who is being described on this blog as a saint, not the McCanns. If you are going to criticise the McCanns for collecting proceeds from a book about the disappearance of their child then I think it only right that you equally judge Sr Amaral.

      Delete
    5. He wasn't being investigated though was he? the McCann's and their protectors made sure he didn't get the chance to solve the case, and he was removed rather sharpish by all accounts!! So he decided to write a book, after-all he had lost his livelihood and wanted to tell his side of the story. Can anyone blame him? I'm glad he did, otherwise we'd never have known the mystery surrounding this case.

    6. I am not besotted by Dr. Amaral nor would I call him a saint - but by all accounts he had a great career and locked up lots of bad 'uns - good on him.

How different would have things panned out - if Dr. Amaral had Bell Pottinger, Carter Ruck and 3 different prime ministers on his side though?

Well he hadn't. And the smear machine that is Team McCann needed a bogeyman - let's face it - the 'abductor' wasn't going to materialise any time soon.

Some time ago Kate said something along the lines of 'choosing your battles' - they chose to battle Amaral.

Those of us who have followed the case from day one - will recall the German satirical magazine 'Titanic' - they did an article about Madeleine
being marketed - 'Madeleine house cleaner - beats any DNA test'

Mitchell called it sick and maybe it was.
Mitchell said legal moves against Titanic were being considered
Titanic's owners said: 'Bring it on - take us to court - your law firm and our magazine will get lots of publicity - win/win'

Team McCann chickened out of legal action against the mag.. Why? Germans, because of their not too distant historic past - don't like to be
told by posh solicitors in London or anyone really what to read and think.

Far easier to go for a single ex cop in Portugal - and do the scorched earth thing on him

'choosing your battles' - choosing the easiest target rather.

That's why Amaral get's my dosh via:

Because if you tolerate the fascist Team McCann - 'your children will be next'
